Modbus is the most popular protocol used in the Automation industry. Modbus Displays have built in Modbus protocol. They are available as Modbus Master or Modbus slave. Typically these are working on Modbus RTU protocol. Baudrate and Modbus device address are programmable. Display supports 3, 6 and 16 functions and integer and floating point numbers. Displays are available in 4 to 8 digits and from sizes 0.5 inches to 12 inches. Modbus Alphanumeric displays are also available to show a message in numeric as well as text format.

Humidity Indicators show the humidity in the ambient air or the area where the sensor is placed. These indicators are available with built in sensors or with external sensors. They are available in panel mount enclosures for industrial applications, in flameproof enclosure for process plants dealing with hazardous materials, in wall mount enclosures for laboratory or warehouse applications and in weatherproof enclosures for atmospheric measurements. These indicators are available in different sizes from 0.5 inches to 24 inches depending on requirement and application.

Considering the area of a plant, the Display needs to be much larger than normal 0.5” size displays to be seen from a distance. For this purpose, Large Display indicators are used. These Indicators are compatible with different types of sensors like thermocouple, RTD, pressure sensors, humidity sensors, strain gauges or load cells. These Displays are available in sizes from 4” onwards to 24” and more if needed.

Wind Direction Display is used for showing wind direction in degrees. Wind Speed Display shows the speed of wind in meter per second. Combined Display of Direction and Speed is also available. 

Direction Display accepts input in the form of voltage, 0-1 V or 0-5 V or 0-10V depending on the sensor used. These Displays are widely used in sports and weather monitoring applications. Length counters are used where rotations are sensed to calculate the linear movement. Typically these are used in wire drawing machines, yarn measurement, winding machines and textile machines. These counters have a programmable factor which is user settable as the diameter of the rotating wheel diameter. Length can be counted in any required unit such as cm, inches, feet, meters or kms. Length counters are available with 4 digit as well as 6 digit displays. There is one set point which can be used to cut the length at the given set point. For a winding machine counting application, additional speed control for accurate length control is provided. Multiple length settings, break length, continuity testing are optional features for winding machine counters. Modbus interface is provided for applications requiring SCADA. 

Temperature and humidity are important parameters to be monitored in any industry. Temperature Humidity indicator combines both the displays in one allowing only one indicator to be used instead of two separate indicators. Indicator accepts input from RTD sensor or a combined temperature humidity sensor. The accuracy of the display is decided by the accuracy of the sensors. Sensor output can be in 4-20mA range or 0-1 V or 0-10 V range. These are also available in flame proof, weatherproof IP65 or wall mount enclosures. Sizes of display range from 0.5” to 12”. These displays are used in warehouses, pharmaceutical industries, laboratories, paper industries, cleaning rooms and many such industries. 

Mega watt indicators are used mainly in power plants to display power generated by the plant. These indicators accept input from external power transducers either in 4-20mA or 0-10 or 0-1V range. The values are user scalable on site making the indicator universal and independent of the transducer rating. 
These displays are available from size 2 to 1ft of digit size. Displays are available in both indoor and outdoor usage with weatherproof enclosure. 

In industry various types of sensors are used for monitoring and measurement purposes. These sensors give electrical output in 4-20mA, which is mostly common or in other forms like 0-1V or mV or bridge. In such cases, the range varies from sensor to sensor and these programmable indicators allow the user to set the range that enables the indicator to ‘tune’ to the sensor readings directly in terms of measured parameters. Optional alarm settings are available to turn on an external hooter or indicator to alert the user if parameter values go beyond a pre-programmed value. 

A range of colourful indicators are available which offer benefits of automatic colour change of the reading depending on its limits, showing the parameter units and prompts user to set programmed message in case of alarm.
