In a manufacturing setup, information regarding the actual number of units produced against the targets set is very important. The deviation from Target helps in indentifying situations where there is a need to press a paddle to accelerate the production rate.  This can act as a boost in the arm of the production team and assist in increasing the productivity. Andon is a “visual control” device that shows machine, line, or process status. These displays help to identify areas to focus efforts and to get maximum efficiency from production lines. The indicators are intelligent and contain microcontroller-based embedded circuitry to handle production floor requirements.   Electronic Andon Display allow the operators, supervisors, and the management executive to get a real understanding of the performance of the machines. It helps in the timely attending of the maintenance-related issues, enhancing productivity. Andon Displays can be custom built to suit user requirements and are very effective in making real-time monitoring of any production system.

We have developed & designed Andon System for OEMs. These units are used for Production Line to indicate and monitor problem occures while Production . Green signals completion of Production, Yellow Signals Shortage of material, and Red Signals stoppage of Production .

Takt time is the German word that explains the tempo or rhythm of production based on the demand of the customer. In a manufacturing set up, it is the time within which a product is produced to meet the target of the shift or a day or a predetermined time interval. As this number is directly related to productivity of a machine or a person, displaying this information can give an idea to the operator or machine supervisor if the production is happening at the right speed or if an appropriate corrective action is required to match the takt time. It also increases morale and generates a competitive atmosphere among the production teams, thus improving overall productivity of the Plant. Thus takt time displays are tools towards increasing the productivity in a manufacturing industry.

A Production Counter Display gives an accurate count of daily/weekly/monthly production output or Machine Operating Hours. It is also contributes to manufacturing productivity by keeping track of Counts, Rates, Cycle Times, Production Times, and Targets. With an added sensor, it can also give count of Good (or Reject) Count thus enabling Quality information. These displays have option to log the data and provide the historical information periodically allowing the management to analyse the production data and take steps towards production improvement.
